St Elizabeth Hospice

St Elizabeth Hospice provides respite and palliative care for young people and adults living with progressive and terminal illnesses. The annual cost of running the hospice, the specialist at home and community services in Ipswich, Great Yarmouth and the Waveney Valley is £10.5 million. 77% of those funds have to be found by the hospice fundraising teams, with only 23% available from NHS commissioned services.

The Brief

Interim Corporate Income Generator role whilst new, fulltime recruit found. The brief included the establishment and/or stewarding of critical Corporate Partnerships within the professional services and SME sectors and more immediately, contributing to the sourcing of donations for a high profile, global on-line event in April 2020. Fronted by singer Ed Sheeran and run by the Gee Whizz Charity, the auction raised £506,000 for Zest, St Elizabeth hospice's charity for young adult services, living with progressive and terminal illness and, Thomas Wolsey School's  a school for children, aged 3-16 with physical, medical and / or sensory needs and associated learning difficulties.
